OFC NetOFC's high-speed optical network, OFCnet, enables live demonstrations of networking products, solutions and architectures.

This live network is built to showcase emerging technologies, including quantum networking, AI, network element interoperability and networking for big data/big science applications from industry innovators.

OFCnet saw first light in 2022 in partnership with CENIC and Lumen. Today, OFCnet enables booth-to-booth fiber connectivity on a dedicated high-speed optical network designed explicitly for OFC that provides both show floor access as well as connections to Research & Education Networks (RENs) such as CENIC, ESnet and Internet2. This connectivity with R&E networks provides new opportunities for exhibitors collaborating with affiliated academic institutions to highlight advancements and capabilities in a live real-time, fully operational network environment.

Be Part of OFCnet

OFCnet is always looking for partners to help build the network by contributing equipment, services and demonstrations suited to OFCnet's objectives. OFCnet is also looking for equipment vendors specializing in fiber test sets, transport, switching and routing, as well as service providers, cloud providers and research and education companies. Exhibitors participating in OFCnet may also have the opportunity to present their demonstrations to an audience in the Exhibition Theaters.

For more information on OFCnet or to participate in 2026, please contact OFCnet@ofcconference.org.
