The bandwidth demands of hyperscale data center operators have been increasing tremendously in recent years and show no sign of slowing down. New applications, particularly in the realm of artificial intelligence (AI) impose distinct and evolving demands on the network infrastructure compared to traditional storage and compute needs. This panel aims to highlight the requirements for next generation intra-data center connectivity from the data center operators’ perspective and delve into the critical role and challenges of optical connectivity in both scale-out and scale-up strategies within accelerated AI infrastructure. Recent advances in electronics, photonics and their integration technologies will be discussed to provide insights into the desired spec for meeting these evolving demands.
Join us as we outline the future of intra-data center connectivity in the age of AI.
