60+60 km Weakly-Coupled MDM-WDM Transmission Enabled by 4-LP-Mode FM-EDFA (W2B.30)

A 4-LP-mode FM-EDFA utilizing multiple-ring-core FM-EDF is designed and fabricated to support weakly-coupled MDM transmission, based on which 60+60 km simultaneous LP01/LP11/LP21/LP02 MDM-WDM transmission is experimentally demonstrated only adopting 2×2 or 4×4 MIMO-DSP.
