High-Speed and Low-Power Optical DAC Transmitter Using All-Silicon Lumped Segmented Modulator Directly Driven by CMOS Inverter Driver (Th2A.11)

We fabricated a 2×2-bit optical DAC transmitter using silicon segmented modulators and CMOS drivers. Highest symbol rates of 56Gbaud PAM4 and 50Gbaud 16QAM were achieved with transmitter density higher than 300Gbps/mm2 among optical DAC transmitters.
