Four New SMT Passive Attenuator Pads for DC to 25 GHz Applications
Excellent Return Loss, Low Cost, and Convenient 2x2 mm SMT Packaging
Hittite Microwave Corporation, the world class supplier of complete MMIC based solutions for communication & military markets, has introduced four new wideband fixed value attenuator products. These innovative SMT attenuator pads are the perfect solution for a wide range of applications including microwave radio, military subsystems, fiber optics, scientific instruments and sensor applications up to 25 GHz.
The HMC652LP2E, HMC653LP2E, HMC654LP2E, and HMC655LP2E are wideband fixed value 50 Ohm matched attenuators which offer relative attenuation levels of 2, 3, 4 and 6 dB respectively. These passive attenuator pads exhibit extremely flat attenuation and excellent return losses, and are priced at only $1.33 each in 10,000 piece quantities.
The HMC652LP2E, HMC653LP2E, HMC654LP2E, and HMC655LP2E are housed in convenient 2x2 mm SMT plastic packages, specified for operation over the -40 to +85 ºC temperature range, and handle up to +27 dBm of input power. These wideband attenuator pads are the ideal solution for terminating unused switch ports, adjusting mixer LO drive levels, and padding reactive loads in military, test equipment, and other wideband subsystem applications.
The HMC652LP2E, HMC653LP2E, HMC654LP2E, and HMC655LP2E are also available in chip form as the HMC652, HMC653, HMC654, and HMC655 which are rated to 50 GHz. These wideband passive attenuator pads complement Hittite’s broad line of fixed value attenuators which are available in both 2x2 mm SMT packaging and as bare chips.
