Anritsu and Sumitomo Electric to Conduct Joint Demonstration of Optical Module Technology During OFC
LOS ANGELES, Mar. 6 - Anritsu Company (OFC booth #1710) and Sumitomo Electric Industries (SEI) announce that the two companies will be conducting a joint demonstration on 40 Gb/s serial CFP-FR optical module technology for high-speed optical networks in Sumitomo’s booth (#1624) during OFC 2012.
In the demonstration, the MD1260A 40/100G Ethernet Analyzer will provide advanced test functions at 40/43 Gb/s transmission rates to show the error-free performance of the SCF0420FR series optical transceiver module from SEI when transmitting and receiving at full rate.

The all-in-one portable MD1260A 40/100G Ethernet Analyzer supports the latest high-speed transmission technologies, such as 40/100 GbE, OTU3, and OTU4. It is ideal for manufacturing inspection of transmission equipment supporting 40/100GbE, as well as for installing and commissioning 40/100GbE networks. The SCF0420FR is a CFP optical transceiver module with a hot pluggable form factor designed for high-speed optical networking applications. It converts 4-lane, 10.3125 Gb/s electrical input data streams to a 41.25 Gb/s serial optical output signal, and a 41.25 Gb/s optical input signal to 4-lane, 10.3125 Gb/s electrical data streams. The high performance DFB-EML transmitter and high sensitivity PIN receiver provide excellent performance for 40GbE applications, as well as SONET/SDH and OTN VSR applications up to 2 km.
