Corning is one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science. For nearly 170 years, we have been collaborating with customers to solve tough technology challenges through our unparalleled expertise in glass science, ceramic science, and optical physics to develop products that transform industries and people’s lives.
1. SMF-28® Contour optical fiber
With a first-of-its-kind combination of ITU-T G.657.A2 bend resilience, 9.2 micron mode field diameter, and industry-leading low loss, Corning® SMF-28® Contour optical fiber brings more bend-protected reach to more places. This full-spectrum fiber is operational in regional, long-haul, metro, access, mobile, and fiber to the home (FTTH) applications. SMF-28 Contour fiber meets Recommendation ITU-T G.657.A2 and is compatible and fully compliant with Recommendation ITU-T G.652.D.
2. SMF-28® ULL optical fiber with advanced bend
Corning’s SMF-28® ULL optical fiber portfolio has the lowest-loss terrestrial-grade fibers available in the market – with millions of kilometers deployed worldwide. The newest addition, SMF-28 ULL fiber with advanced bend, is an ITU-T G.654.C-compliant fiber with best-in-class performance specifications. This evolutionary product provides ultra-low loss, with attenuation available down to 0.15 dB/km at1550 nm, lower latency, and meets the fiber macro-bend loss requirements of the ITU-T G.657.A1 standard. All products in the SMF-28 ULL fiber portfolio are also available in a smaller 200 μm outer diameter for use in high density cable designs.
3. MiniXtend® Cables
As a leader in optical cable, Corning is understands the need for the cable designs that combine high fiber density in ever smaller sizes. Now, Corning is introducing the world’s first 192-fiber micro cable with binderless FastAccess® technology and Corning’s new SMF-28® Contour fiber. The compact MiniXtend® XD design enables more fibers per duct and faster cable access providing installers with greater flexibility in tighter spaces without sacrificing fiber density or deployment speed.
4. Rocket Ribbon™ Extreme Density Cables
Building from our successful line of extreme density ribbon cable designs, the latest RocketRibbon innovations include the world’s first armored cables with Corning’s FastAccess® Technology – offering ease of installation coupled with innovative ribbon protection, in 288-fiber, 432-fiber, and 864-fiber variations. The compact designs enable up to twice as much fiber per duct and 60% faster armored cable access than existing solutions, while maintaining the benefits of a backward-compatible and proven industry-standard ribbon design.
5. Advanced Connectivity Solutions
Next generation data center switches will require innovation to enable increasingly dense optical connectivity as pluggable optics migrate to Co-Packaged Optical (CPO) solutions. Our industry leading expertise across all elements of the optical connectivity solution enables the overall chip to faceplate connectivity solution to be optimized for a wide range of different CPO designs.
6. Evolv™ Solutions
This is the FTTx PreCon breakthrough you've been waiting for. Save time, save space, save infrastructure, save inventory. Introducing Evolv™ Hardened Connectivity Solutions with Pushlok™ Technology. A quarter of the size of conventional precon Evolv Solutions go anywhere - saving you space, time, and civil costs. Push. Click. Connected.
7. Everon™ Network Solutions
A powerful new way to design enterprise networks. Everon™ is the complete enterprise-grade network solution built on optical fiber technology delivering reduced costs at installation and over the lifetime of a building. Whether you need optical backbone solutions, cellular solutions or solutions that provide connectivity to the edge of the network, Corning has a solution that allows you the flexibility and scale to design for your future
8. CleanAdvantage™ Technology
As a leader in optical fiber and connectivity, Corning understands the value of clean connectors to ensure optical performance. So much so that we have developed a new factory cleaning and sealing process, CleanAdvantage™ technology, to ensure a pristine end face upon first use for all our EDGE™ and EDGE8® solutions. Thus, saving the installer time and money during the initial installation. So go ahead, uncap that CleanAdvantage connector and connect with confidence.
