PEACOC V3.0 Ultra High Density Fiber Management Platform

SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Go!Foton Corporation, a global leader in fiber connectivity solutions, launches PEACOC™ V3.0 aimed at addressing the architectural and business needs of Central Offices and Data Centers looking to implement emerging next generation applications such as 5G, C-RAN, NG-PON2, and Ultra Long Haul transmission.

The PEACOC V3.0 is a high-density fiber management platform that is built on the patented spreadable connector design which permits a three-finger grip per LC connector thus completely resolving the well documented “fat finger” operational challenges. PEACOC V3.0 offers a pay-as-you-grow model using 1RU Chassis as its basic element. In the most basic configuration, each 1RU chassis allows for up to six (6) configurable, Flexible Trays (FleTs) containing 24 LC connectors for a total of 144 LC connectors per 1RU. When coupled with the Go!Foton NEBS compliant 7ft fiber frame, the integrated PEACOC solution supports an industry leading 5,760 LC connectors.

Each PEACOC FleT cassette can be configured to support a wide variety of patching and splicing applications as well as house integrated passive optical components such WDMs, Splitters, Couplers, and Tap Filters. The PEACOC V3.0 chassis is fully compatible with any standard 19-inch or 23-inch frame and can be implemented in the same rack with active equipment, thus enabling distributed fiber management within the Central Office or Data Center. This shift in paradigm substantially reduces the number of fiber terminations which are needed, measurably improving each fiber channel quality and simplifying fiber connectivity, while dramatically reducing the overall rack space required.
“Our innovative PEACOC technology enables communications service providers and data center operators to more efficiently and cost effectively scale and manage their optical networks to support the explosive growth in port density that is emerging with the ever advancing bandwidth demands of today’s and tomorrow’s applications,” states Dr. Simin Cai, President and CEO of Go!Foton.

In addition to the patented spreadable adapter arms, the PEACOC platform uniquely allows field technicians easy access to both front- and back-side connectors while working from the front side of the chassis or frame. This distinctive PEACOC feature helps prevents commonly documented connector mismatch mistakes while also improving the ability of field technicians to properly clean both front and back side connectors. This all-front access feature also makes PEACOC a natural choice for small spaces such as OSP cabinets, fiber distribution hubs or other controlled equipment vaults (CEVs).

The PEACOC V3.0 platform is a high capacity, high density fiber management solution which gives Service Providers a sensible migration strategy which leverages their existing fiber management infrastructure. The Go!Foton patented PEACOC technology addresses the challenges Service Providers face when using small form factor connectors in high density applications while providing a scalable, future proof approach to supporting next gen technology and services.

PEACOC V3.0 will be showcased at the upcoming OFC Conference and Exposition in San Diego, CA March 11-15, 2018. Booth #3721.
