MultiPhy to Introduce 400Gb/s Technology at OFC 2014

OFC – San Francisco, CA – March 5, 2014 - MultiPhy Ltd, a global leader in DSP-based high bandwidth CMOS communications semiconductors for Data Center and Metro connectivity will be introducing its next generation 400Gb/s technology at OFC 2014, in San Francisco on March 11-13.

Leveraging the technology paradigm shift made necessary by the dramatic increase in network traffic, MultiPhy’s disruptive core technology will allow cost efficient, high throughput connections within Data Center and Metro environments supporting speeds of up to 400Gb/s, enabling next generation video streaming, cloud computing, and mobile services. Based on advanced modulation methods combined with enhanced digital signal processing (DSP), MultiPhy’s technology will be the core of network connectivity, significantly reducing the total cost of ownership of 100Gb/s and 400Gb/s connections while setting new benchmarks for performance and power consumption.

“As growing capacity requirements demand more deployment of optical communications in Data Center applications, the use of advanced DSP technology in order to reach a cost effective and power efficiency solution becomes inevitable,” said Avi Shabtai, CEO at MultiPhy Inc. “Leveraging the success of our first generation product line, which integrates advanced DSP technology for Data Center interconnections, our pioneering next generation technology will bring 400Gb/s solutions to the market at the right price and performance points.”

"It's a growing market and direct detection requires technology advances to continue to be relevant as the industry moves beyond 100Gb/s networking links,” says Roy Rubenstein, editor of industry magazine, Gazettabyte. “MultiPhy continues to be a pioneer in this field and its realization of a 400Gb/s direct-detection semiconductor solution will be an important step in enabling such a roadmap.”

MultiPhy will be available for meetings at the OFC show in San Francisco, CA on March 11 - 13 in Booth #3179 to further discuss our technology and product plans as well as updates on our MP1100Q/MP1101Q chipset. Please contact Neal Neslusan at, +1 978 302 5700 to arrange for a booth visit.
