Go!Foton Named Finalist in 2018 Lightwave Innovation Reviews Program

Somerset, NJ --  Go!Foton Corporation, a global leader in innovative fiber connectivity solutions  announced today that its PEACOC™ high density fiber management platform has been recognized as a finalist in the 2018 Lightwave Innovation Reviews Program.   PEACOC addresses the architectural and business needs of Central Offices and Data Centers looking to implement emerging dense fiber applications such as 5G, C-RAN, NG-PON2, ULH/Metro ROADM and Data Center client interconnect.

Presented annually by Lightwave, the Lightwave Innovation Reviews program distinguishes top products and solutions available within the optical networking industry as determined by a stellar panel of independent, third-party judges. Judges include industry executives and analysts from a wide variety of service providers, technology developers, industry analysts, and journalists. "On behalf of the Lightwave Innovation Reviews, I would like to congratulate our finalists," said Lightwave Group Publisher Christine Shaw. "This competitive, unbiased program celebrates the most original and innovative products in the optical networking industry."

Go!Foton’s PEACOC platform is fully compliant with Telcordia’s GR-449 as are the many port monitor taps, xWDM filters, and PLC splitters which are available in a modular PEACOC FleTTM – a flexible cassette tray which gives PEACOC users complete control to reconfigure the PEACOC 1RU chassis in the field.   According to Go!Foton’s VP & GM of Connectivity Solutions, Michael Zammit,  “PEACOC with enhanced FleT technology is a totally fresh approach to value added cassette modules which gives network operators an uncanny degree of flexibility to configure and reconfigure their infrastructure in the field. We’re thrilled that the Lightwave judges recognized the far-reaching impact PEACOC is already having on CPRI tapping and CRAN-Hub densification projects for some of the leading Tier 1 service providers.”

The Lightwave Innovation Reviews are judged based on the following criteria:
  • Originality
  • Innovation
  • Positive impact on the customer
  • How well it addresses a new or existing requirement
  • Novelty of approach
  • Cost-effectiveness
