Session Description:
The MOPA effort consists of leading mobile systems vendors, optical pluggables, components vendors and operators. MOPA investigates and describes the key technologies and solutions for 5G and emerging 6G. This session will outline the critical optical and operator requirements for Open Cloud RAN towards 6G and the recent results in the areas of novel optics for Cloud RAN, tight sync with coherent lite systems, automated management including auto-negotiations and the extensive interactions with standardizations bodies (ITU-T, IEEE, SFF, OIF, ORAN etc).
