What is OFCnet?
- OFCnet is a 3-year program that OFC is launching to showcase live networking experiments on the exhibit floor, including emerging optical technologies.
How can I participate?
- You can participate as a Volunteer, as a Network Infrastructure Supporter (loans network equipment and/or assists in the design and build of the OFCnet network) or as a Network Research Participant (brings application demonstrations to run on the OFCnet network).

Why OFCnet was created?
- OFCnet was created to bring research and industry together on the OFC exhibition floor, showcasing live demonstrations and enhancing discussions about networks and their applications.
I have a demonstration that I would like to show in OFCnet, how do I proceed?
- Please contact us to be considered for OFCnet 2025. Email us at ofcnet@ofcconference.org.
What will it cost me to participate in OFCnet?
- OFCnet has no fee or registration costs. You will be responsible for your equipment costs, personnel costs, and any extraordinary costs needed to install and operate your equipment or demonstration.
What does OFCnet provide for my demonstration?
- OFCnet provides space, electrical power, and fiber-optic connectivity that may include network elements needed for your demonstration.
What type of demonstrations can we expect to see at OFCnet 2025?
- OFCnet is a high capacity network that provides connectivity between exhibit floor booths and to external sites. R&E, network operators and network equipment vendors will showcase their latest technologies, some in the context of advancing industry standards. OFCnet 2025 will expand its quantum demonstrations and highlight technologies from the research laboratory to commercial deployment.
Does an NDA need to be signed to be included in the OFCnet 2025 program?
- OFCnet has a no-NDA policy.
