Evolution of Optics for Mobile (MOPA)

Wednesday, 09 March 13:30 – 14:30
Theater II

Session Description:

Following the successful launch and OFC21 session on Optics for Mobile (MOPA), by 5 leading companies (Ericsson, Nokia, Sumitomo, Lumentum, II-VI), this effort and overall standardization of Optics for Mobile is progressing with broader and deeper topics. This session will outline these new efforts benefitting the industry as a whole as well as make future outlooks.

Moderators:

Stefan Dahlfort, PhD, Product Development Leader, Ericsson, USA; Ron Heron, Director of Network and Portfolio Strategy, Nokia, USA

Panelists:

Sumithra Bhojan, Director Member of Technical Staff, AT&T, USA

Lieven Levrau, Sr. Director Networking Infrastructure Strategy, Nokia, France

Antonio Tartaglia, Ericsson, Italy

David Lewis, Technologist, Lumentum, USA
