Transforming Network Operations Through Automation

Thursday, 12 March, 12:45 - 13:45
Theater II
Session sponsored by Juniper Networks

Session Description
The promise of 5G is based in large part on the new services that it will enable providers to deliver: enhanced mobile broadband, augmented reality, connected vehicle, industrial IoT, the software-defined enterprise, and much more. But this diverse set of services will also place diverse requirements on the network, including x-haul optics and timing & sync. For 5G to be profitable service providers must deliver efficient, end to end network slicing – without it, 5G becomes an operational quagmire. Key technologies include automation, orchestration, transport protocols, edge clouds, wireless-wireline convergence (WWC), and threat-aware infrastructure will be addressed.
