Beam-Steering Based on Dispersive Optical Phased Array for FMCW LiDAR Application (Th2A.31)

We demonstrate dispersive optical phased arrays based on the Si3N4-on-Si platform. Two-dimensional beam steering across a 45.6° × 10° FOV with a beam width of 1.45° × 0.032° is achieved by wavelength tuning alone. Besides, FMCW ranging operation at a target distance of 10 m are experimentally performed.
