VI Systems post deadline paper presents VCSEL transmission at 107.5 Gbit/s
In cooperation with leading European academic research partners VI Systems demonstrated for the first time an 850nm VCSEL transmission at 107.5 Gbit/s over 100 meters of OM4 multimode fiber using multi carrier-less amplitude/phase modulation. The post deadline paper was accepted for presentation at the OFC 2016 conference.
BERLIN, Germany - VI Systems announces that a post deadline paper has been accepted for oral presentation during the OFC Conference in Anaheim, CA this week. OFC Post-Deadline papers represent the latest technical achievements in the field and only a few are selected by a panel of experts, among numerous submitted papers.
In cooperation with the leading European research institutes, the Technical University of Warsaw, Poland, the Technical University of Denmark and the Technical University of Dresden, Germany VI Systems GmbH demonstrated for the first time successfully a single channel data transmission
at 107.5 Gbit/s using one 850nm VCSEL using multi carrier-less amplitude/phase modulation. The transmission distance which was achieved over a standard 50/125 um OM4 multimode fiber was 100 meters.
The results will be presented on March 23, 2016 in Ballroom B at the Anaheim Convention Center:
7:00 PM - 7:15 PM |
