Go!Foton UnVeils Modular PEACOC Ultra High Density Fiber Management Platform

SOMERSET, N.J.-- Go!Foton Corporation, a global leader in the design and manufacturer of innovative optical connectivity solutions, is proud to announce that its patented PEACOCTM Ultra High Density Fiber Management Platform is now available with enhanced FleT Technology. PEACOC FleT technology is a new approach to value added cassette modules which give network operators an uncanny degree of flexibility to configure and reconfigure their fiber infrastructure in the field. “Our growing family of PEACOC products gives telecom service providers and data center operators real control and flexibility to dynamically reconfigure their optical facilities to support the explosive growth in optical port density”, states Dr. Simin Cai, President and CEO of Go!Foton.

The Go!Foton PEACOC Ultra High Density Fiber Management Platform has been awarded US Patent #8,939,792 for its unique and innovative approach to fiber management. PEACOC is a fully integrated and modular technology platform which forms the foundation on which small form factor jumpers and a multitude of optical components can be easily incorporated and managed in an ultra-high density rack system. Now, with release of the newest PEACOC V3.0 chassis, the same award winning PEACOC™ technology is now available in modular form with the introduction of the value added PEACOC FleTTM – a Flexible Tray configuration which gives PEACOC users the complete control to reconfigure the 1RU PEACOC chassis in the field.

The PEACOC FleT is a highly flexible, cassette based design which may be ordered preconfigured, or reconfigured in the field at any time, to support a variety of fiber patching and splicing applications.  In addition, the FleT enhancement to PEACOC allows users to field install, manage and reconfigure integrated optical components such as tap splitters, PLC splitters and xWDM filter modules.

The Go!Foton PEACOC with FleT technology gives users an unprecedented degree of flexibility.   It also addresses the biggest hurdle associated with the use of high density fiber distribution frames today, namely, the difficulty in accessing and managing the compact optical connectors and components.  With PEACOC™ technology, each individual optical connection can be easily isolated from adjacent optical connections in a safe and accurate fashion.  When deployed with Go!Foton’s newest GR-449 compliant GEN IV Fiber Distribution Frame (FDF), an industry leading 4320 simplex LC ports can be effectively installed and managed while providing a generous region of unobstructed handling space for safe, error free management of small form factor jumpers.  Compatible with LC, SC, and MPO connectors, the PEACOCTM platform with value added FleT technology is also the only FDF solution on the market today which allows easy access to both the front and rear plane connectors – all from the front side of the frame.  This reduces the potential for operator error while also dramatically improving the speed and accuracy of installation and maintenance operations.

The Go!Foton PEACOCTM Ultra High Density Fiber Management Platform has successfully passed extensive testing by Telcordia Technologies in accordance with Telcordia GR-449, Issue 3 and Verizon TPR.9464: rigorous requirements for the most demanding Telecom CO, CATV headed, and data center environments.  Michael Zammit, Go!Foton VP & GM of Connectivity Solutions commented , “It doesn’t matter what the optical component is or whether the application supports 10G, 40G, 100G or Next Gen PON for that matter.  Our intention with the PEACOCTM technology platform and family of products is to be the foundation from which network operators can exponentially scale their optical networks in a highly modular, accurate, and cost effective fashion”.  Unlike other highly proprietary designs which severely limit deployment flexibility, the Go!Foton PEACOCTM solution can be deployed in as little as 1RU increments and it may be easily integrated into a carrier’s existing rack frame environment.

The explosive growth in data center construction driven by social media, internet commerce, cloud computing, and the pervasive demand for ubiquitous upstream/downstream video over smartphones creates a fertile market for ultra-high density optical distribution in telecom and datacom equipment centers.  With total data center IP traffic expected to grow at 31% CAGR1 over the next 5 years, datacom managers will increasingly seek out space efficient equipment solutions in order to maximize future scalability in a cost effective fashion.   The Go!Foton Ultra High Density PEACOC™  with value added FleT modules, which offers industry leading density, scalability, and field flexibility, is the right solution at the right time.
