Anritsu to Showcase Solutions for Testing High-speed Data Transmissions

Anaheim, CA – March 19, 2013 – Anritsu Company (booth #2519), a global leader in test instrumentation for emerging technologies, will be exhibiting solutions for measuring high-speed data transmission, including 100G, 200G, and 400G, at OFC/NFOEC, March 19-21 in Anaheim, CA. Featuring the MP1800A BERT, the test systems can accurately test the performance of InfiniBand interconnects and backplanes, as well as analyze 100G+ DP-QPSK and PAM4/16 modulation schemes. On display in the booth will be the MP1800A with the Anritsu MP1825B 4Tap Emphasis, which can accurately evaluate InfiniBand FDR (14G) / EDR (26G) active optical cables (AOCs). Anritsu will also display how its MP1800A BERT addresses the market demand for test solutions with the accuracy and performance required for 100G+ applications, including 100G DWDM DP-QPSK and 100G/200G/400G PAM4/16. For signal integrity applications, Anritsu will show the MP1800A BERT with its MS2830A Signal Analyzer. This configuration allows users to conduct single sideband (SSB) phase noise measurements on high-speed interconnects and backplanes. “Data centers require high-speed interconnect and backplane technologies that exceed 100G to address ever-increasing bandwidth demands. Manufacturers of active optical cables and direct attach cables (DAC) need test solutions such as our MP1800A BERT to accurately measure product performance and ensure they meet the stringent demands associated with these high data rates. The MP1800A continues the Anritsu tradition of developing innovative solutions to meet the testing requirements of next-generation networks,” said Peter Alexander, PhD, Assistant General Manager, Americas Sales Region. In addition to the test solutions for high data rate transmission, Anritsu will display test equipment for other applications:

• Mobile backhaul/FTTA/FttT – To address the field testing challenges of mobile backhaul, Fiber to the Antenna (FTTA), and Fiber to the Tower (FttT) applications, Anritsu will be showing its MT9090 Network Master, MT9083 ACCESS Master™, and CMA 3000 all-in-one field tester.
• Field Portable Optical Test – The MT9083 can also be used by field technicians to measure FTTx, PON, Access, and Core networks.
• Ethernet Test – Anritsu will be displaying its MD1230B portable Ethernet/IP network data analyzer with the dual functionality of wire speed performance analysis and network monitoring, and the MD1260A Analyzer for installing and commissioning 40/100 GbE networks.
