A quick Google search on “resume writing” yields a wealth of resources that could actually be detrimental to a candidate’s job prospects. Resume writing is not a generic practice and often professional writing services produce complicated formatting and risky design choices that make it difficult for hiring managers and recruiters to read—not to mention costing potentially hundreds of dollars!
This presentation will help candidates learn the executive recruiting process, what hiring managers do when reviewing resumes, and how a candidate’s online presence is a continuation of the resume. With the sole objective of getting an interview from a resume, this talk will teach technology professionals—both those actively looking and those who aren’t looking —to keep themselves on the industry’s radar before the next opportunity passes. Chance favors the prepared!
